Whitish mass on the leg of a chicken
Pathological examination revealed that the nodular growth affected the quadriceps, semimembranosus and semitendinosus muscles but not the sciatic nerve.
Under the microscope the mass was found to be formed by a neoplastic proliferation of spindle cells consistent with a fibroma or a nerve sheath tumor.
No lesions were observed in the brain or the sciatic nerve.
Whitish mass involving the thight muscle and the knee joint.

Most likely due to ALV. ALV can cause all sorts of neoplasms besides lymphoid leukosis.
