When the coelomic cavity was opened ascites and hepatomegaly were observed accompanied by paleness of the liver, which was yellow colored and friable.<\/p>\n

Pathological examination revealed the presence of inclusion body hepatitis, caused by a Type I avian adenovirus.<\/p>\n
