{"id":5125,"date":"2013-01-16T17:31:51","date_gmt":"2013-01-16T16:31:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sesc.cat\/white-spotted-kidney-in-a-bovine\/"},"modified":"2022-03-24T18:44:47","modified_gmt":"2022-03-24T17:44:47","slug":"white-spotted-kidney-in-a-bovine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sesc.cat\/en\/white-spotted-kidney-in-a-bovine\/","title":{"rendered":"White spotted kidney in a bovine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This pictures are characteristic of a <strong>subacute interstitial nephritis<\/strong>, also known as <strong>white spotted kidney<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This lesion is characterized by irregular whitish areas, of up to 1 cm in diameter in the renal cortex which do not normally protrude towards the renal capsule, extrend into the parenchyma and are non suppurative. When the lesion is more chronic the kidney surface becomes rugous and even shows areas of parenchymal retraction.
