{"id":5211,"date":"2014-03-31T09:33:06","date_gmt":"2014-03-31T08:33:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sesc.cat\/calf-carcass-with-pale-muscle-discolouration\/"},"modified":"2022-03-24T18:46:17","modified_gmt":"2022-03-24T17:46:17","slug":"calf-carcass-with-pale-muscle-discolouration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sesc.cat\/en\/calf-carcass-with-pale-muscle-discolouration\/","title":{"rendered":"Calf carcass with pale muscle discolouration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>These changes involve skeletal muscle and are seen more clearly in the<em> longissimus dorsi<\/em> muscle (the steak) but also other muscles with multifocal distribution such as the chest, thigh, intercostal muscles, the diaphragm and the muscles of the abdominal wall.<\/p>\n<p>Histologically degenerative chronic multifocal necrotizing myopathy with hyalinization of muscle fibers, loss of striation and mineralization was seen.
