Dermal melanocytoma in a calf

In a 10 months, male, friesian calf a pedunculated, spherical mass of about 20cm in diameter was observed in the cervical region. When sectioned, the mass showed a homogeneous black coloured surface.

The histopathological study showed a benign neoplasic proliferation that was classified as a dermal melanocytoma.
