Liver
2
Whitish discoloration of pig liver.
These lesions were only observed in the liver and did not protrude nor delved into the parenchyma.
Histopathological study evidenced multifocal subcapsular fibrosis (growth of connective tissue), which sometimes was also interstitial.
This lesion has no pathological significance. It is therefore an incidental finding which should be considered within normal limits. Not to be confused with inflammatory lesions caused by parasites such as Ascaris previously described in the query: Pig livers with "milk spots".
