Red spots in the lung

Histopathological examination of the samples, which macroscopically resembled petechiae, revealed multifocal venous dilatations or ectasias, lined by endothelial cells.

This type of lesion, of no pathological significance, cannot have been caused during slaughter or bleeding, it is rather suspected to be of congenital origin.

 Multifocal, generalized lesions in the lung, resembling petechiae. Lesions were found to be dilated veins.
