Cutaneous skin lesions in swine
The lesions observed in this case correspond to a swine juvenile psoriasiform pustular dermatitis also known as Pityriasis rosea, due to the similarity of the lesions with the human disease counterpart.
This disease is of unknown cause, it affects only the skin and has no pathological significance, causing merely organoleptic alteration of the carcass.
The differential diagnosis of these lesions can be: swinepox, dermatosis vegetans and ringworm.
